June 15 Panther Weekly Update Posted on June 15, 2026 Dear KPES Families, It’s hard to believe how quickly this school year has flown by! Together, we have seen so much learning, growth, and joy—our students have worked hard, built friendships, and truly lived our KPES values each day. As we head into our final days, we wanted to share a few highlights and reminders. Celebrations 🎉 Spring Concert: Our daytime concert (with two performances at 9:30 and 12:00) was a wonderful success. Spreading it across two shows created a more comfortable experience for families, and our students did an incredible job—we are so proud! Field Day: Students enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of activities following lunch—even in the heat! It was a great way to wrap up the week together. Volunteer Garden Party: Our staff was proud to host this event to celebrate the many volunteers who support our school. If you are interested in volunteering for next year, please reach out! 💛 Thank you: Speaking of volunteers, we’d like to share a BIG thank you to both Nicole Hurley and Kathleen Irwin, who have been dedicated volunteers and PTA members for many years. As their children move on to RPS, we are sad to see them go. Their support and friendship have been invaluable. 💛 Grade 5 Transition: This week, our Grade 5 students visited Rothesay Park School for their orientation. It was an exciting event as they prepare for middle school—we are so proud of them! Next Week & Final Days 📅 Tuesday: Tie Dye Day (K–2) Grade 5 Track & Field Wednesday: Grade 5 Moving Up Ceremony Grade 3 Bowling Field Trip Thursday: QPlex Trip & BBQ Friday: Last Day for Students Recognition of Juneteenth (Emancipation Day) – honouring the end of slavery on June 19, 1865 Report Cards 📄 As per district guidelines, report cards will not be shared before June 19 If your child is not in attendance that day, report cards may be picked up at the school on June 22, 23, or 24 during school hours It’s amazing how quickly this year has flown by.
