Dec. 8th Panther Family Update Posted on December 8, 2025 Hello KPES Panther Families, I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Apologies for the late message—I usually send these out on Sunday afternoon. It’s hard to believe, but next week is our last week of school before the holidays! It will be a fun-filled couple of weeks! Though there will be winter and holiday themes incorporated all week, rest assured our students will still be learning. 🚨 Safety Drill Reminder: Lockdown Practice Please note that we will be holding a Lockdown practice on Wednesday, December 10th, at approximately 9:30 AM. As shared previously, we approach these practices in a calm, age-appropriate way, emphasizing that this is just a practice to keep everyone safe. 📅 Important Scheduling Note Please note that I will be attending a Principal’s Meeting on Thursday, December 11th. Mrs. Shaw will be filling in for me at KPES that day. 🎄 Holiday Concert & Dress Rehearsal We are quickly approaching our performance date! Dress Rehearsals: We will be running dress rehearsals throughout the day on Thursday, December 11th. Holiday Concert: Our performance is on Friday, December 12th, at 12:00 PM. (Snow date, Monday Dec 15) Don’t Forget! Please ensure you drop off any VIP tickets to the office this week. 🎁 Important Donation Deadlines & Drop-offs Thank you in advance for all your support this week! Gift Card Drive: The deadline to drop off Gift Cards for Compass Education Centre is Thursday, December 11th. Rummage Sale Donations: Please continue to drop off items for the Annual Rummage Sale (which takes place next Tuesday!). 🛍️ Next Week’s Key Events: The Final Countdown! (Imagine a very dramatic, heavily padded keyboard intro here.) The following week is packed with excitement as we head into the holidays: Tuesday, December 16th: Annual Rummage Sale Please send your children with change from their piggy banks to shop! Quarters, loonies, and other small change are easiest. Please be sure to label their money carrier clearly. If you can, send them with a reusable shopping bag to transport all of their treasures with ease. Wednesday, December 17th: Snowflake Dance The dance runs in the evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Entry is $5 and/or a donation toward our Technology drive. Thursday, December 18th: Pancake Breakfast & Jammie Day! Students and staff adore this event! Thank you to our volunteers who make breakfast magic happen. Attire: Please send your children in their jammies and with a favourite stuffie! Toppings: Your child’s classroom teacher or classroom parent has likely emailed about sending in toppings. If you are able to help out with the breakfast, we’d appreciate that too.
