April 13th panther weekly update

Dear KPES Families,

Spring energy is filling Kennebecasis Park Elementary, and it’s been wonderful to see it show up in learning, creativity, and community across our school.

🌱 Spring Is in the Air!
Our students have been joyfully welcoming the season. K–2 students have been busy gardening—getting their hands in the soil and watching signs of spring emerge—while beautiful learning continues indoors as well. Our hallways are filled with gorgeous student artwork, including perspective drawings, watercolour explorations, pastel flowers, and Singing in the Rain–inspired pieces. The pride, creativity, and care on display truly make our school feel alive.

📝 Elementary Check‑In Survey (Grades 4 & 5)
Students in Grades 4 & 5 will be completing a short Elementary Check‑In Survey at school. The survey is completed as a class, takes about 5 minutes, and helps us better understand student experiences and perspectives.

💃🏾 African Dance Workshop — Tuesday, April 21st
Students will enjoy an African Dance workshop during the school day on Tuesday. This engaging experience brings music, movement, and cultural learning together in a joyful way.

🎭 Spring Concert – Save the Date!
Our Spring Concert will take place on Thursday, June 11.
To help with seating and parking, we are planning two performances (attending to both won’t help our situation 😆)

  •  Show 1: 9:30–10:30
  • Show 2: 12:00–1:00

More details will be shared as we get closer to the date.

  • Each item costs $1 and includes gift wrapping
  • A fun, inclusive shopping experience designed for children
  • While kids shop, adults can enjoy a coffee and a sweet treat

This event celebrates all special people and is a lovely example of community connection.
